Welcome! As America works on reforming its health care system, public and private organizations are coming together to implement these meaningful changes.

For over a decade, eHealth has focused on reaching out to, educating, and enrolling millions of uninsured Americans in quality, affordable, health coverage. In 2009, in an effort to focus attention on the development of an effective enrollment strategy, eHealth launched Ready2Connect.org.

Since 1997, eHealth has developed eHealthInsurance.com into the center of online distribution between non-group health insurance providers and the American consumer. Like Orbitz does for travelers, eHealth has used technology to successfully connect people who need health insurance to the right policy for them, quickly and easily. In our eleven-plus years of operating this marketplace, we have helped over two million Americans across all 50 states and in the District of Columbia.

When the success of health reform legislation is finally measured, one of the fundamental criteria of its success will be the legislation’s ability to effectively enroll uninsured Americans into a health insurance program that meets their needs. “Health insurance exchanges” – government-run distribution mechanisms where people can find, compare and buy coverage, much like they can today at eHealthInsurance.com – will play a critical role in a successful enrollment strategy.

When it comes to connecting people to coverage, experience is the best teacher. Companies like eHealth that operate at the intersection of health insurance, technology and the American consumer, have a lot to contribute. We have expertise, technology and years of practice that we’re eager to share with policymakers at all levels of government. We can help them design and implement strategies that help Americans select and secure health insurance.

Throughout eHealth’s eleven-plus year history, approximately forty percent of our customers were uninsured prior to coming to eHealthInsurance.com. To achieve the goal of universal health coverage our nation must continue to engage and empower every viable organization, public and private, alone and in partnerships, that can connect the uninsured to the coverage they need, quickly and smoothly. Our technology makes this possible.

We are committed to working with federal, state and local governments to ensure that health reform is implemented effectively. Millions of uninsured Americans are counting on our collective success.
